    India is an evolving superpower with a vibrant economic structure. As per IMF’s World Economic Outlook -October issue—2019 ‘India became the world’s fifth-largest economy in the world. This book has been written with the primary focus on students of Undergraduate Commerce courses, but it is relevant to all readers who want to understand the economic development of our great country.

    This book not only deals with the subject-matter in a very lucid manner but also carries the topics in the conceptual framework as well. To make the
    subject interesting and easy to understand, some specific technical terms are defined in simple language and they are presented in the box separately.

    The entire book is based on very updated data and statistics gathered from different sources including Economic Survey 2019-20, reports of World Bank along with similar kinds of institutions and publications of concerned Ministries of Government of India.

    The authors have adopted a verbal style with extensive use of Graphs, tables, and models which make the book really useful for the readers to understand and update their knowledge.
