This Computer Applications in Business book has been designed specially to meet the need of students of B.Com (Hons.) IV Semester of Ranchi University, Ranchi and Kolhan University, Chaibasa.

Introduction to Word processing, Word Processing concepts, Use of Templates, Working with Word Document : (Opening an existing document/creating a new document, Saving, Selecting Text, Editing Text, Finding and Replacing Text, Closing, Formatting, Checking and correcting spellings). Bullets and numbering, Tabs, Paragraph Formatting, Indent, Page Formatting, Header, and footer, Mail merge including linking WITH Access Database, Tables: Formatting the table, Inserting, filling and formatting the table, Creating Documents in the areas: Mail merge including linking Access Database, Handling Tables, Inserting pictures and videos
Unit-II: Preparing Presentations:
Basics of presentations: Slides, Fonts, Drawing, Editing, Inserting: Tables, Images, Texts, Symbols, Media, Design; Transition, Animation, and Slideshow.
Unit-III: Spreadsheets and it’s Business Applications:
Spreadsheets concepts, Creating a workbook, Saving a workbook, Editing a work Book, Inserting, Deleting worksheets, Entering data in a cell, Formula Copying, Moving data from selected cells, Handling operators in a formula, Rearranging worksheet, Project involving multiple spreadsheets, Organizing Charts, and graphs, Printing worksheet. Generally used Spreadsheet functions: Mathematical, Statistical, Financial, Logical, Date and Time, Lookup and reference, Text functions.
